Kelaniya Temple
Kelaniya Temple is also one of the most important temples which Buddhists are very fond of. During Lord Buddha’s 3rd visit he visited Kelaniya to resolve a dispute between two casts; Finally Lord Buddha is given an arm chair which is made out of gems and gold. Hence the stupa at Kelaniya is made enshrining the chair in it for people to worship on behalf of Lord Buddha as a gratitude of the Sri Lankan visit.
