Kataragama Temple
Kataragama temple is an important shrine for both Hindus and Buddhists. Kataragama temple is dedicated to deity with six faces and twelve hands, who is known as Skanda-Murukan or Subrahmanya among Hindus. Sinhalese Buddhists believe that Kataragama Deviyo is a guradian deity of Buddhist who helps his followers who are in need.
