Historic Golden Age
Pollonaruwa which is located 66 miles from Anuradhapura was the seat of King ‘Parakaramabahu’ whose reign was known as the Golden Age of Sri Lanka. The Historical value of the city is so important to the Buddhist. One of the most significant features of the city is the largest shrine of ancient Lanka and it is one of the most magnificent buildings in Buddhist Asia.
