Captive Rock Fortress
41 miles from Polonnaruwa, has a 600 feet rock which ‘King Kasyapa’ revolutionized into a mind-blowing fortress. It is said that this King built his fortress up the mount as he was hiding away from his brother ‘Prince Mugalan’ after murdering their father, in order to gain the kingship. Sigiriya is most famous for the paintings found on the way the fortress which can catch your eye instantly.
